Why is the 9800xt at newegg (link) $356? And its 200-400 at pricewatch.com as well. X800XL's arn't even that much (link). Anyone find it anywhere else cheaper?

That's what you'd think and also what common sense tells you... but that's not how it works. If the retailers can rip some random person off, they will. They paid well more than that amount whne they first got the 9800xt.
 
Well most if not all cards can be overclocked to XT speeds right? I don't see why an XT would be so much...
 
Just look at how much P3's are being sold now compared to P4's. I saw a NIB 800mhz P3 for $800...
