9800xt Overheat?

My buddy came running to me a few days ago complaining about his video card.

Sure the 9800 is AGE OLD like I keep telling him, but he's stuck with a SocketA rig for now since he has no money.

His problem is that his car is hitting temps of around 110F. I told him to try and clean some dust out of his box, and now he's telling me the fan on his car seems to be slowing down.

My suggestion is to get a new card, but he still wants to salvage his current one.

Any ideas?
 
Clean it and slap on a VF700cu or VF900cu with Arctic Silver 5.
