Hello all

Ive been softmodding my Powercolor 9800se 256bit for years with omega drivers, never seen an artifact, the pipelines are perfect it would appear. Runs through a 12 hour atitool test with 0 artifacts. However, i hardmodded it as im selling it, and the buyer wanted it hardmodded and i have a dillema,

I jumped the resistor on the core, perfect solder joint, so thats not the issue, but when i flash it with a pro bios i get massive artifacting, (it still works fine when softmodded) the card has hynix 2.8ns memory, and i used a corresponding Powercolor 9800pro bios with the same memory. I got massive massive texture tearing and couldnt complete 1 second in atitool.

A gentleman here had a problem almost identical to mine (ive pmed him about how he fixed it), however his fix does not work for me.

I tried the powercolor samsung memory edie bios that was recommended: http://www.techpowerup.com/bios/ATI...sung.030429.bin, that does greatly reduce the artifacting, however its still fairly significant.

I adjusted the timings of the memory to match my 9800se bios on the bioses i tried, but it didnt fix the artifacting, so its something else within the bios causing it.

Here is my original 9800se bios for reference: http://www.sendmefile.com/00089114

To sum up, ive tried powercolor hynix and samsung bioses as recommended, and i have adjusted the memory timings in those bioses with RaBit to match the timings of my 9800se original bios (doesnt seem to help). I think the problem lies in another setting deep in the bios. Perhaps someone with bios modding skills could find the offset in my original 9800se to unlock the pipes, and thus just use the rest of the settings in that one, or find another bios with settings that would work. Regardless, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance guys and gals
