9800se --> 9800pro omega driver problems

I've been using omega drivers (based on an old catalyst) for quite some time. However, my computer got riddled with spyware and crippled my computer and I decided to reformat (plus I finally purchased a legit copy of winXP and wanted to install it) :p

Anyway, I went to omegadrivers.net and downloaded the newest one they had on there based on catalyst 5.9. When installing i selected the softmod 9800se version. However when it installs I can run 3dmark05 and i only get a score of around 2655. I am pretty certain it used to be 5000+, and that the 2000-3000 range was when it was just the 9800se not softmodded to 9800pro.

I tried reinstalling it a few times, and tried one using the catalyst 5.7. Did they drop support for the softmodding 9800se's? I know this card is started to get a little old now, but its all i have.

Also, I seem to remember it saying softmod 9800se to 9800pro in the settings tab, but now it just lists my monitor type and says 9800se

I guess maybe I should have tried this before I posted...

I installed the official catalyst 5-10 drivers and only recieved a 1750 mark. I guess my memory is failing lol.

Im thinking the 5000+ score may have come from 3dmark03.

I doubt you were getting 5000+ in 3dMark05 with a 9800 pro or se because I have a slightly overclocked x800 pro that only gets around 5100 in 3dmark05, so you were probably thinking of 03 or something

yeah, my GT breaks about 6k in 05, and its twice as fast as a 9800p

2500 sounds about right for a 9800p
