9800pro set at 4x?

I was just checking through some settings yesterday and noticed that the AGP was set to 4x. Also in the BIOS it was set this was as well.
My question is, should I switch this to 8x on the video settings and also in the BIOS or in the BIOS there is also an auto setting?

This is on a ABIT NF7-S, XP-2600+
 
I wouldn't worry about it unless there were some other performance problems with your Radeon., AGP8x is pretty much useless, gaining maybe 1-2% extra performance, at best.
 
So at no risk of hurting anything and the possiblity of gaining 1-2% performance then I should set both the video and BIOS to 8x?
 
yes set it to 8x in your bios you will have no problems
you paid for the feature use it, i have the same vid card and the same mobo and i use it set at 8x...
