9800pro / R360 core?

[ncantador]

I just purchased an ATI built 9800pro as I cleaned off the core to attach the Zalman heatpipe sink, I noticed the core was an R360. Isn't this the XT core? Has anyone else noticed this?

[oqvist]

Yup there was a thread in here before. It´s the 9800XT core. Try upping your voltage to 1,9 and see how it goes

There was a link to a guide on how to turn into an XT on [H]ardOCP.

Wow,

Not bad for a $200 card.

[Eshelmen]

now is this for all 9800 pros?

[V0ltage]

only the ones with R360 cores.

I've got a Sapphire 9800pro , but haven't checked the core yet. Was the R360 only put into ATI builds, or is this pretty common among newer 9800pros?

Is there a proggy I can use to check this? Ide rather not take off the heatsink. =)
