9800pro overheating

I think my 9800pro is overheating. My computer totally locked up the other day and when I felt my video card heatsink it was burning hot. It's a Powercolor with 128megs of ram. Currently I have a midtower with an 80mm intake in the bottom front of the case, an 80mm exhaust on the top rear of the case, and a powersupply with two fans. I'd like to provide extra cooling to my radeon without putting another heatsink/fan on the gpu and without getting a new case. I've heard that those pci cards with the exhaust fan are an effective way to expell extra heat when put next to the video card. However, I have also heard that these fan cards wear-out within a few weeks. Does anyone know of any good brands of these card fans or have another other suggestions for cooling my radeon? Thanks.

I can personally vouche for the VGA Silencer. Put that thing on there and shot my core from 412 to 430. I ran ATITool and it told me 420 and generally that thing is 10 points on the low side. Haven't tried any higher clocks but this thing is nice, apparently it works very well too. I am also running some Silver Nanotherm paste, don' t really know if that helps a lot or not.

I ordered the 120mm fan from Crazy PC. It looked like a good way to get more airflow in my case overall while cooling my GPU. Thanks for all of your suggestions. If I need further cooling in the future I will look into those other products.

i got 365 core from 9500 n 440 core from 9800se using zalman h80c with opt fan, n still ran cooler than stock. new h80d should be even better.

i had a similar prob a few days ago...just check that the fins/channels of the HSF are not blocked...its worth doing...it though i was going to have to get a new card but i just cleaned out the HSF with some compressed air and vacuum cleaner and now its running along nicely....
