Hey,
I recently put together my new system (in sig), and all was working perfectly until I checked my 9800pro's clocks. Windows starts up with them set at 392 core and 344 mem, and the only way to set them back to stock is to use AtiTool.
I have tried re-formatting, different catalyst drivers (omega's and officials), motherboard bios update and even reflashed the bios on the card itself with the backup i had, but it still starts at the wrong speeds. The strange thing is when I tried the card in my other PC it will start with the right clocks
. I've noticed that as soon as Windows boots the screen will go black quickly and then come back on and have the wrong clocks. It's almost as if something is being started with windows and telling my card to overclock. I tried looking through msconfig and nothing seems to be starting up that shouldn't be.
My card doesn't have a temp sensor so it doesn't have automatic overclocking so this is really weird. Can anyone help?
Thanks
