So sometime today the red cable on the 4 pin adapter powering the video card decided to melt/explode and destroy the connector pins on the video card. I managed to get a replacement cable and get the video card back on again but it no longer can display red. Does this mean that the card is fubar? And what would be a comparable card in the 100 dollarish range? I found an x700 256 meg non pro at newegg for 99, would that be as good?
