9800pro AGP is OFF? ARG

I have a Radeon 9800pro that was in my old system (p4 2.0...) and that ran fine. I put that in my new system:
p4 2.8ht@3.6
512 pc4000 dual channel ddr
abit ic7-max3

...and now it runs like total shit! I go into my advanced display properties and go to my SMARTGART tab and notice that Set AGP Speed is "Off". I've tried changing it to 4x and 8x and neither have worked. I have gone into my bios and tried both 4x and 8x settings. I have reinstalled DX9, reinstalled the latest ati drivers, and I'm currently running the Omega drivers (hacked ati drivers). Also, in dxdiag it says "AGP Texture Acceleration: Not Available" (display tab).

I've looked around for any possible options i may have missed in my BIOS, but dont see any. Any suggestions?
 
I had this problem too..you need to install the proper motherboard/chipset drivers for your system, this will allow agp accleration to run as well as fastwrites. To really check if you have agp acceleration go to start/run type dxdiag and check if agp acceleration is enabled.

I feel so idiotic with that one... needed the intel 875 drivers installed.. everythings solid right now ;)
