Ive read up about this and fancy trying it out (crazy I know :eek: ) anyway all the ones ive seen are for samsung ram, my sapphire 9800pro has Hynix ram on it but it'll do 440/390 and will run 3d mark over and over again with out any problems so the card is up for it I guess but can seem to find a bios to do it, anybody know?
 
Dont do it, it isn't the actual XT bios. There was a thread about this earlier but I cant find it now. It is just a modded 9800pro bios, with a few hacks to give better performance in 3Dmark. There is no such thing as a 128MB 9800XT. It gives you the clock speeds of the XT and gives artifacts in a few 3DMark tests, causing the card to do less rendering, and therefore higher scores. It also does not work with the new DX9 games. I flashed mine when I first heard about it, and later reflashed with a custom bios I made with radedit.

Has all 9800pro>>XT bios's for almost all cards inclueding 9800Pro 128/256 of assorted flavors.

My custom bios is just a bios level core and memory overlock. Also, I changed the maufacturer string to 3DFX...lol... It's clocked at the speeds in my sig. I wish I could find that older thread. A lot of people were having the same problems as me. Go here for some editing programs and bios': ATI stuff All programs and bios' are in English.
 
Also, if you look at the link that Cloud15x posted, you will see where there are problems in 3DMark03. It does boost your score, but not by giving you better performance. I had 69** (**=cant remember) with the XT bios, and 6738 with my bios. My bios isn't cheating. :D I can post a copy of my bios on my webpage if requested. Its only like 68kb or so.
