9800GX2 Equivalent?

I may be replacing my old 9800 gx2 soon due to it overheating on me. What is a current single GPU card that matchs the 9800gx2 from both AMD and from NVIDIA? I want to know so I know where to start looking for a new card.
 
Well you only really need a GeForce GTX 280 to match the 9800GX2. As for this generation I think the GeForce GTX 470 (Maybe even the 465) and Radeon 5850 would be good matches for it.
 
I think even the GTX 460 or AMD's 5830 would be at that level, and you get lower power draw which means less heat as well, along with DX11, eyefinity, etc...
