When is the 9800GT coming out? I thought it was July. And isn't it going to be a single slot single power connector card as well?

Alienware (theoretically) has it available in a few systems.

Per Google, it looks like it was supposed to be out April or May, but presently... no one seems to know, as far as I can tell. There's not a lot of space in nvidia's product lineup between the 8800 GT and 9800GTX at present, but who knows. Can't find any reference to it on their site, either.

One picture I found, which makes it look pretty spiffy:

As far as I know the 9800GT is just a rebadged 8800GT with maybe higher clocks, nothing more.

the 9800gt is 55nm

Ah, didn't know that. The shrink to 55nm doesn't really seem to help much on the G92, judging from the 9800GTX+ previews... But it would have to be cheap to be worth it, like sub $150 or so....

it did help some. the 9800gtx+ runs at 65mhz higher than stock 9800gtx while not really running hotter or using more power. it can probably be overclocked well beyond the limit of the 9800gtx too.

Perhaps, but a 65mhz bump isn't all that impressive seeing as some OEMs where shipping out 9800GTX OC models with higher clocks than the GTX+

In other words, I'm just trying to say its nothing worth waiting for or really to get excited about :)
