since searching is disabled how far can i overclock my 9800 pro before seeing artifacts or making it get too hot? Its sompletely stock and i want to keep it that way, just wanting to squeeze everything i can out of my system

it depends, as it does for anything you overclock. theres a program called artifact tester you might want to google for. you can run a stress test on your vid card, and it will tell you if you will get artifacts.

I have learned not to trust Artifact Tester. I usually just bump the clocks up in small increments (concentrating on only the core or the memory, one at a time) and run 3DMark, look for artifacts, repeat.
