I performed the Core/memory voltage modifications yesterday and I thought I'd share my results and get a little feedback. Core voltage is set to 1.88v and Memory at 2.8v. The highest stable/artifact free speeds I've gotten are 495 core, 385 mem. I'm using a Maze-4 GPU block and Radioshack heatsinks I swiped off my old GF1DDR. I have a 2100 TBred running at 2.44Ghz and it must be holding the card back because I’ve gained very little in UT2k3 benchmarks. What voltages/speeds are you guys ending up with?

holy crap, almost 500 on a 9800 core!
wow...
processor might be holding you back a bit, but not too much.

Tempting, but I think i'll hold onto it. Hopefully it will hold up nicely to the next gen of cards coming out.

It seems as if it can do 500/390 in some games. For instance UT2K3/4 seem to do fine. C&C Generals is another story. It looks fine in the active gameplay area, but as soon as you scroll where there is fog it gets pretty nasty. I'd really recommend this mod, especially on the GPU. Mine went from 420 to 490-500. I let powerstrip do the switching for specific games.

9800core can roughly o/c to 500 @ 1.8, 520 @ 1.95, 540 @ 2.05, etc...

also depends on gpu n coolin, wat week is it? is it possible to increase the vcore via bios? n also anyone tried runnin mem higher by reducing timing?

I've tried relaxing the memory timings in the past and everytime I was forced to reflash my backup blindly. I removed the memory's pot, some games would artifact even at stock mem speeds. C&C generals mainly. Prior to the volt mod the memory could go to 385, no amount of voltage would yield gains and even the slighest would cause C&C to artifact. I guess it had reached its limit without additional voltage. As for the voltage/speed ratios you mentioned, I have heard that 2 volts and higher is likely to burn the card out, regardless of cooling. I might be willing to raise mine to 1.93 or so.

Edit: Another thought, maybe a larger heatsink on the voltage regulator would help the memory mod. It's Very hot to the touch.
