9800 Pro upgrade = major slowdown?! Help

I just finished upgrading from a 9500np and an Enermax 300w to a 9800pro 256 and a 420w Enermax. Now there's a terrible slowdown with everything, including Windows. My LCD needs to "catch up" as I scroll a page, and I've tried loading BF:V and Far Cry... both just error. Here's my specs:

did you reinstall the drivers? Try that.

IF all else fails try putting back your 9500 and see if that fixes the problem.

^ What he said. The drivers actually haven't loaded yet.

If you install the latest catalysts (fully uninstall the old ones) it will boot into windows without graphics acceleration, and then load them within a few seconds. That will be the only time it does that.

I would uninstall the catalyst on windows, then restart on safe mode, run driver cleaner for everything ati related, then reboot, then install the latest catalyst.

Although i suggest you get the omega based on cat 3.9. Best speed for me...

The directions for driver install should be followed always and for every driver change, even if you stay with the same family of drivers (omega, cat, forceware...)

ATI n NVIDIA deny this but you get a cleaner driver install and avoid some problems like yours...
