Mistake to trade in and switch? Games have been playing very well on the 9800, like bf1942 and such, however, flight sim, one of my fav's really is sucking ass. ATI I guess is aware of the issue and their "fix" is to d/l the latest catalyst. So guess what i did and still the scenery is flickering and grainy. Anybody else have this issue? I've been messing around with the direct 3d a ton...any suggestions? On a diff. card?

What exactly do you mean by "trade in"?

Going from a 9800 pro to an FX 5900XT really wouldn't be an upgrade. Some of the 5900XT's will hit 5950u speeds but still not worth it.

If your wanting to upgrade i would suggest grabbing a 6800nu for less then $299. They'll kick a 9800XT/5950u's ass and overclock real well. They also support nVidia's latest technology.

nVidia is also coming to market with a $199 6800LE and apparently they will hit retail channels because a few of nVidia's vendors are making the push to get nVidia to let them manufacture them.

don't get a 5900XT !
If you really need a better card get a 6800GT or if you're short on cash a 6800 Non-Ultra

Bad linking, dude. And that 9800Pro ->FX5900XT is a DOWNgrade,IMO. Not worth it at all, especially only for one game.

You can't upload pics on HardForum. You will have to upload the pic somewhere and then post a link to it or do the
code with the full link to display it in the thread.
