I just bought the 9800 pro yesterday. I put it in and dled 4.3 drivers for it. i ran aquamark and i only got about 15k. With my old TI4200 i got about 12k? I think there may be something wrong here. I updated my bios, got 3.7 drivers, and messed around with the settings. Also for some reason Smartgart wont let me run my vid card at 8x... i have tried this endless times and it wont work. It wont even run at 4x. help please.

What are your computer specs? That's a pretty low score. I'm getting about 22k with the same card running @ 4x on an AMD T-bird 1.4.

yes thats an odd score, i get almost 50k on my stock 9800xt. i think the old nvidia drivers are interfering somehow with it. best thing to do is format, or u could try using like detonator RIP to get the old drivers off of there. also aquamark likes a good CPU, but even with a slow CPU u should have a better score than that.

If you cant run 8x AGP but your mobo has an 8X AGP port, obviously you need to install your AGP controller drivers.

IF and only IF your mobo uses VIA chipset, you need the VIA Hyperion 4in1.

G'luck

hmmm.... mebee close up some of your startup programs... those eat up mem.... in aquamark i get 26k with a 9600nonpro, but that's oc'd to 400/530.... aslo try reinstalling the drivers but using driver cleaner or some equivalent program to clear out the old drivers...

I get 37k In aquamark with my BBA 9800 pro 128 mb

Specs:

Athlon xp 2000+ @2.1 ghz
ASUS A7N8X-X
512mb pc 2700 Infineon ram
