What's the lowest framerate you've seen in the following games and how often do you see it, and what hardware setup are you running? Please provide as much information as you can (example: if you don't have one of the games, please provide information from the others)

. BF1942 - 1280x1024
. BF:Vietnam - 1280x1024
. UT2004 - Severance - 1280x1024
. UT2004 - Severance (Full AA/AF) - 1280x1024
. Enemy Territory - 1280x1024
 
I Only have BF Vietnam, but havent played it in weeks so i have no clue what my frames are.

But, I do play Everquest (it's a bit harder on h/w than it looks), and pull off great framerates at 1280x1024 32bpp 16x 8x vysnc enabled. It may not be in the hundreds (no way to gague except by perception), but I don't see any choppiness except in bazaar...but that 500 players all moving arms and such...lag city regardless of hardware.

The only game i play on that list is BF1942/Desert Combat but i forgot how to enable framerate. I use Omega 2.5.30 video drivers @ 425/728 clocks (24/7). i use 1600 X 1200 x 32bit color, 16XAF, 4XAA, Trueform enabled, Maximum detail on ALL textures, lod, shadows, lighting etc etc all without a hiccup. My lowest FPS would probably be indoors (in this game anyways, i wonder why(?).

all @ 1280x1024(or960 whichever the game supports =p)
4xAA/16xAF

this gets me the following avg fps:

BF1942: anywhere between 50-155fps on the few maps i played(battle of britain, the bulge, omaha beach, etc etc)
BF Vietnam: didnt get to play, i know its nothing great tho =\
UT:Severance - floated in the 40-50s range most of the time with bots going etc...peaked near 80's for a few short seconds
 
b1zz how did you get your pro to clock so high? 700+ is nuts...
 
All fps Games played at 1280x1024 or 1280x960 with 4x AF

Battlefield 1942: Usually stays over 100 fps. Lowest ive seen would be around 85. (frames only drop slightly in a 34+ player game)
Battlefield Vietnam: Usually stays above 85, lowest ive seen it was around 45.

Only played Wolf ET once but it seemed very smooth :cool:

Specs: BBA 9800 pro 128m
Axp 2000+ @ 2.1 ghz
1 Gb DDR 333
 
i have a 9800 pro, but i overclocked it to XT speeds, only game i play right now is Counter-Strike! i'm waiting for Half-Life 2 to come out :rolleyes:

Yep (well 1280x960 actually) and thats about the lowest it goes.. believe it or not.. enabling AF actually increased performance, crazy. The patch also helped.

actually i dont think its quite "nuts" but it is up there..

my 9800 is a BBA 9800Pro128 with the R360 core(visually checked under the HSF) with samsung ram rated @ 2.8ns with ramsinks

and honestly the ram did that speed before the sinks were even put on, altho it does make me feel a tad better about it running a bit cooler =p

back on topic:
what was the original purpose of the thread? just making sure your system was on track for performace or what?

more-or-less a reference, so I can learn what to expect from different setups, it seems to be coming along nicely, and answered alot of questions I was having
 
9800 Pro (R360 core Bios mod to XT)

Games all run really smooth at 1280x1024. Can anyone explain why I can't get BF1942 to 1280x1024? I'm really annoyed with this 940 resolution, makes my second monitor look very funky when I play full screen games.

Mods/BF1942/Settings/Profiles/Custom/video.con

edit in notepad, change 960 to 1024, then make it read-only
 
with 1600+ @~1.73, 512 @2100 and sapphire 9800pro (stock) wolf ET at 1280 will drop into the hi 20's on real busy servers in outdoor areas, and even still its very playable for those brief moments. most of the time hi 30's and 40's, but this is all @ 1280 and i usually don't play higher than 1024, as it kinda seems like a sweetspot for my wimpy system - usually rock bottom is around 37 -40 in those reall crazy scenes
