9800 Pro image corruption

Hey guys, having a bit of a problem here.

Max Payne and Far Cry are both freezing up after about 2 minutes of play.....the screen turns into blue/black/purple lines, and when I press escape it takes me back to the game, only now the image is greatly distorted. I'm running Win98SE on the 4.3 Cats. I should also say that I ran 3dmark 01 perfectly (1024x768x32 same as desktop) and also that Max Payne ran fine under really low resolutions like 640x480. Any ideas? Faulty card or PSU? Card overheating?
 
A little update: I looped 3Dmark 01 and got the image corruption within about 5 mins of it playing :(
 
nm the omega drivers fixed it :D

and as of right now I see no reason to upgrade to XP.....98SE has been rock solid for me for 6 years....i might just wait until the 64 bit edition of XP comes out
 
wow... you still have 98?
its totally unsupported now, and XP is about 65,000 times better...
