what are the differences? is one harder to soft mod than the other? help!

9800 is just a lower clocked 9800pro.
9800SE is a 9800pro with 4 of the pipelines disabled.
you can soft mod the SE to a pro but it dosnt always work.
you are better off just saving for a real 9800pro.

ditto

is a 9800 regular have all the pipelines enabled and just low freq?

yeah.
I think a pro is only another 30 bucks though. Makes a difference.
Also make sure it's 256 bit memory interface. Some asshats on pricewatch are still selling the neutered cards.

just get a 9800pro, theyr only 190~.

however if u cant afford even a 9800np, just get a 9800se 256bit they are highly softmoddable and only 145~.

can the same be said about the 9600se vs the regular and the pro? thank you
