Yep, thats the legit price

There is no 'but just maybe' like with the Titan X (selling for $1600 AU) for extrapolating reasons for the greatly inflated price over the currency converted and taxed US price.

The 980 Ti costs $1000 Australian Dollars.

At a conversion rate of 75c AUD to the USD which is where we are at currently coupled with 10% GST inclusion the it rounds about to $952. Coupled with possibly increased shipping cost and higher labour overheads the price is entirely justified.

Australia is further from Asia than the US? The labour overhead is partially justified. Let's wait until AMD reduces Nvidia's prices for us.

Import duties are likely higher, we are only talking a little less than $50 difference here.

Knew it, wasn't surprised, can't wait to see how much the custom cooled cards will cost. Was kinda hoping it would have been at least $900 but $1000.... argh.

750 euro in here for vanilla versions, the custom cooled go over 800... sheesh. That thing is very expensive. not much difference really between this and Titan. Where is the competition from AMD...
