• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

Whats it do? I remember hearing about it but I can't really remember much about it.

No, sadly i cant get cable or a TV signal where i live (or anything faster than 28k dialup), so its just for movies and music i stream from my server

It's a very good program. I've been using before it had the Toolbar and Mouse support.

I only use it for DVD.........Maybe when I get my new Sony rig, I'll use it for PVR...Keep this updated. It may come in handy.

As far as User Guides for it, there is none. It was supposed to be a Laptop alternative to MCE, and they don't officialy support it.

IMHO, I prefer it to MCE.......It's just more streamlined.

i just got a new notebook (one that would finally be compatable with media portal) Couldn't believe how slow it was. i needed a dvd decoder as well, so i went and got the purevideo decoder to go with my card. didn't install anything in the start menu and i was like wheres my dvd player (i hate windows MP and its annoying autohide) found nstant media installed in there. its really quick and slick. i'd just wish it would let me browse the directory structure for music instead of going by ID tags and visualizations for said music. For a PVR system it would be really slick though.
