Hi,
I am having trouble with my new videocard and motherboard. I have a ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe motherboard with newest BIOS (1009) and drivers. My video card is a POWERCOLOR 9700pro 8x AGP w/ Artic Cooling VGA cooler (card is same PCB as ATI)

In the BIOS it shows 8x enabled and FAST WRITE enabled. But in ATI's SMART GUARD options it shows AGP speed settings OFF. In 3DMARK03 it shows i have 4x AGP enabled. Everywhere i look at what my AGP is set to in software it never says 8x.
I have updated drivers for everything! VC, Chipset, etc. Ive even tried old drivers with no luck. Has anyone else had this issue? I beleive its the VC drivers in one way or another bypassing my BIOS settings when it loads ATI control panel, but ive removed the control panel with no luck. HELP.

I dont mind it running in 4x its just for future graphic card updates id like to have 8x AGP on, I would like to know why it doesnt work. Or if someone has infact had simalar experiences with motherboards or drivers. I hate spending the money on somthing im not gonna use.
