So I bought this used 9700pro off ebay, guy says it was in a working system and the card was working when he pulled it. My problem is I can't get a picture. I tried it in 2 different systems with different mobo's etc. Same thing happens, pc boots up and probably goes all the way into windows but I get nothing on the screen, not even a "signal cannot be found" message or anything. I believe it's hooked up right, even connected that little 4pin one to it. Card also seems to be running well, no weird noises, fan looks okay. Any ideas?

=\

You could've been scammed, anyone could say that on eBay. Report the guy for fraud. But first you should contact the seller and talk about the problem with him before reporting him.

I did, gonna try testing it again. if that fails, this man will pay.

sorry, I didn't see your post. The two different systems had nvidia cards, one was an GF2 mx400 the other was a ti4600. Doesn't matter anyway. I switched the connection to DVI and it seems to have done the trick. All I did was post the machine, further testing will happen today.

well, damnit. I got the card to "work" but then when I booted up I started getting a memory error, so I swapped out the card to the older one and the pc works fine. Why can't anything be easy?

I remember my 9700 Pro, I loved it.
What a wicked card for its time.
Hopefully the R600 will do the same.

of course I did. The problem was a boot problem. When the system started up there was an issue.
