9700pro or 5900xt for doom3?

I have a 9700pro and a 5900xt @ 5900Ultra speeds and I'm wondering which one would give me better playability in doom3? Correct me if i'm wrong but wouldn't the 5900 be better at rendering shadow volumes then the 9700pro?
 
well, it might, but correct me if i'm wrong as well, but won't the crippled ps2.0 on the 5900 make it... not so great?
 
doom3 is opengl not direct3d. probably will be close tho. oc'd 5900 might have a slight edge.
