I am trying to run my tv as a second monitor, and for some reason this is proving much more difficult than any other card I've had in the past.

First off, the bios and windows boot screens display perfectly, so that I know the connections and cables are not the problem. Once windows boots though, it's a different story. When I go to the ATI advanced options and then check under displays, it doesn't even regester that the TV is there. So then I just use the standard display options and try to extend my windows desktop to the second monitor and it does nothing, and does not remain checked. I started with the new 4.8s, but then went back to the 4.7s and even 4.6. The exact same problem occurs regardless of driver ver.

I can post the machine specs when I get home, as I am at work. But I have a feeling it has nothing to do with anything else in the computer.

I had the same problem for a while. try when you plug it in, to have ati auto detect tv when plugged in. Thats how mine ended up working. also some sVid cables didnt work for mine. made the picture not show up or very very distorted.

I tried some other cables, still nothing. I know someone out there has a fix...
