i'd work at upgrading ur processor from a celeron....any videocard you put behind them still doesn't help considering the bottleneck that cpu represents....hate to be a killjoy but that's just me. Check for prices on a CPU that would work with ur existing setup (celeron/p4 run in the same socket).

I know that but which card would work better in my set-up? i will use this till the summer and maybe a little after that, then i will build an a64 system with a 6800GT.

i've heard that the 9800 PRO isn't too much better.. so maybe it's not worth the price. I have a 9700 PRO, but I bought it over a year ago.

I would go 9800 Pro for the time being and then jump on a GT deal later, or jump on the BFG 6800OC at BB right now for 249.99. If you want a 9800 Pro I got one for cheap which is why I also sent you a pm.
