9700 Pro Issue

I have recently bought a 9700 Pro. When I first installed the card I had issues with a stutter in UT2k3. it was like the frame would hang for a second. My ping and FPS count didnt seem to change but it would stutter and became very annoying. So I tried different ATI drivers, then I tried different chipset drivers nothing really seemed to help. So I popped an old 10GB in and backed up my personal files and reformatted. Now I am running the latest ATI drivers, the latest chipset drivers, but now when running UT2k3 after about 15 mins the game freezes the VPU recovery screen pops up. It says the Video Adapter stopped responding. Then the game will unfreeze and play fine. I have to ALT + TAB back into it, but it will run fine. Anyone have any suggestions?
 
ALSO, this happens in Day Of Defeat. Sometimes even before I choose a server to play on....

Would lowering my AGP from 8X to 4X help? Also someone suggested disabling Fast Write...
 
You are using the drivers that come with the card? Try updating your drivers to the latest ones. Also make sure your chipset drivers are up to date.
