Just had my fan die on me on my ATI 9700 pro and I'm looking for a new one. Any good suggestions on what/where I should get one from? only setback is that the new fan can't take up space on backside of videocard because of my rather large CPU fan in the way. Any help would be appreciated....

vga silencer or ati silencer 1
if you live in canada i can link you a shop with cheap prices and shipping on those,
or just ask in the wtb forums.

just curious at how u know your fan died on you b/c i never get down and look at my fan on the video card. My case is pretty loud too so i probably wouldnt know if it died or not by listening to it.

Judging by how small the back bracket on the ATI Silencer 1 is and where the GPU is on the card relative to the closest area to your CPU cooler I would imagine that it would fit, but just be a bit close. And if you have to shave down a few fins on the zalman then that would be OK too for most.

I noticed it was dead when i was cleaning out my comp to put in my new motherboard. Yeah i'll try the Silencer and hopefully it fits....
