965-chipset Shuttle SFFs?

When are Intel 965-chipset Shuttles coming out?

I know the 975x one is around the corner, but that is retailing at ~400 dollars. Hopefully the 965 one will be cheaper...and coming out soon...

...so, I did a google search and what not and didn't find much. Anyone know when they are coming out?
 
Given Shuttle's record .... another 3-4 months.

They did the same thing when the 875/865 chipset came out.
 
Full ATX 965 boards are retailing for just as much as 975 boards right now anyway, unless you go with a stripped down very basic model.
 
What does that have to do with Shuttles? 965 is a newer chipset anyway - it should retail higher.

Maybe the fact that I want a 965 based shuttle?


I'm mainly looking for one since the 975 has two 16x pci-e slots - i wanted a pci slot instead
 
maybe it`s possible to volt-mod the 945 chip on the SD36G5. Not sure, but it`s a possibility. After all, the only thing keeping the Conroe from being 945 compatible is the voltage requirement, right?

Seems doable if it is just that VRM11 voltage regulator. The bios may need the CPU string programmed into it, though, in order to recognize the default settings. Expensive risk.
