I just got my 9600XT today.
The drivers aren't working.
When I go to device manager it says not enough resources, disable other stuff to gain resources...i disabled stuff, still no workie...HELP!

uninstall drivers, run one of those driver destroyer proggy's, reboot into safe/vga mode and check device manager for other display adapters. you can also check the registry for any driver remnents from ati/nvidia (whichever card you had before the xt).

boot back up in "normal" mode and try to re-install the drivers. If you're installing the drivers from the cd, try to see if there are updated ones (chances are, the ones on the cd are older - but should work anyway)

It's conflicting with my CPU to AGP controller.
How can I use manual resource settings. The box is grayed out.

Uh, what OS are you using?

are you assigning an IRQ to VGA in the bios? I's also try to reset the ESCD in the bios also. Since I don't think you can change the resources that those components use very easily in Windows, I'd try those two things also. I suppose your old vid card worked ok? Kind of strange to have this problem, but it may require a fresh re-install of XP...which could be quicker and easier than trying to troubleshoot and find the source of the problem. I know what it's like to have a new toy and not be able to use it :)

You can't change resources for an AGP slot, they are pretty well set in stone. Make sure its getting an IRQ in the BIOS (as suggested)

What may be happening is that your motherboard supports IRQ sharing with a PCI slot and AGP and its conflicting.

Try moving PCI slots, especially if you have a card right under the AGP, or farthest away from it (both those should be empty)

Are you running Service Pack 1? I think the latest Catalyst drivers require that.

I've reinstalled XP Home SP1 twice.
I've checked all the BIOS settings. I've tried everything.
I'm looking at it this way, if I have to return it I get a new case and motherboard.
