9600XT overclocking problems

I've made one of these threads a while back when I first got my card, but maybe someone can help now..

No matter what I use to OC my 9600XT, it seems to do absolutely nothing. I used Rage3D, Powerstrip, and some others. Even if I max it out to like 570Mhz Core and 320MHZ+ Memory, I see no difference in FPS. I still get around 20-30 FPS or lower in Unreal Tournament 2K4 and similar performance in other games (BF: Vietnam, Doom Beta II). Even when maxed out, I see no artifacts or other signs of the card stressing. It's as if nothing is happening.

OverDrive is currently disabled. Should it be enabled? Last I heard, it should be off.

Any suggestions?
 
CPU is your *major* bottleneck. you can stick a 9800XT in that box and won't see any change in the FPS (or very slight change).
 
Yea I figured that. Kinda weird how overclocking wont even stress the card though. Thanks
