hey I've looked through some threads and haven't seen anything on this yet, but I have a good system and through some testing have figured that my graphics card is my road block to any higher 3dmark scores, can someone show me any other threads or give me some tips for overclocking the 9600XT?
I have a very well ventilated case, with a 120 intake in the front and 2 80mm intakes in teh side that blow right on my graphics card which I have a zalman heatpipe cooler on it, also have another 80 blowing out the back, had to take my 80 outta the blow hole on top because my new PSU was so big.... right now I just have it at stock 500 core, 300 (600DDR) mem, last time I tried overclocking teh core by like 50 MHz it gave me lots of artifacts and things
 
hmmm well an update for anybody who cares....

I tried overclocking the card.... ran one successful 3d 01 bench all the way through with the core @ 570, mem @ 300, brang up the score by about 850 points.... not much
then I tried overclocking the memory by like 20 MHz and that made things all screwy, so I pushed mem back down to stock and then tried setting the core @ 600 it got the the start of the 2nd test (high detail truck one) and crashed.... then tried clocking down to 570 and it crashed on that one for some reason.... so now i'm back at stock.... I need a new graphics card.... bah
 
the most ive got mine to was like 560 or 580 (been a while) i finally decided i didnt care about overclocking a card like this anyway and said screw it..but with ati tool i was able to OC to a nice 560 core and 315 mem
 
I used powerstrip and got mine to 594/330. The memory will not go any higher than that and CS Source will not run at any higher core. Generally speaking, the 9600 XT should go to at least 570. The memory is the limiting factor though.
