9600XT inconsistant start up

I just bought a ASUS 9600XT card and have a A7N8X dlx motherboard rev 1.06. The problem is when I first install the video card (shut down and install) everything works fine, but when I shut it down overnight it won't boot. I remove the video card and install my old card it boots right up. Then do a couple fo things (e-mail ect.) then shut down and install the 9600 again and PRESTO everything is fine again. Any ideas?
 
It's a new Antec 480 tru power. I also tried upping the VDD voltage from 1.5 to 1.6 (just trying anything) didn't do anything.
