Ive decided to get a 9600xt, since they seem to be the best 4x card on the market. I have a choice of getting either a 128mb or 256mb version.

The price between the two is only £10. I would have thought the 256mb one would be the better option, but these benchmarks suggest that the 128mb ram is somehow faster:

Ebuyer seems to be the best place to buy from (in the UK). Theyve got a Hightech 128 & 256 and a Sapphire 256.

Its between these 3, but i think Hightech is the better brand. So its just a question of which RAM size to go for.

Doom 3 would take advantage of the extra 128 MB of RAM. The uncompressed textures would be bliss. Actually, the difference between the 128 and the 256 in terms of framerate is minimal. I say go with the 256, but that's just me...

Ah great. I didnt know any games have yet made use of the extra memory that 256 provides. In that case ill go for that one.

Thanks.
