9600Pro/XT vs 9800SE with 256bit memory

PowerColor makes this card that is identical to the 9800 Pro, just 4 pipes locked. I was just wondering even if I cannot get the pipes unlocked with no artifacts, would this be a better card than 9600Pro/XT with its 4 pipes and 128bit memory? Thanks in advance.

the 9600XT and 9800SE if i don't recall have almost identical performance.

i say save up $43 and get the 9800pro newegg has right now

Thanks...I should do that. If I decided to get a 9600Pro what price range should I not go over with one? I have found one for $110.00 shipped. Is this a good price? Thanks in advance.

The success rate for a moddable 9800SE is damn low. Mine didn't work. Save up for the XT or wait for the next gen of cards...
