9600 Pro OC Dilemma

Do we really need 3rd party drivers for this thing for a proper OC? My OC seems to reset everytime I reset/reboot...

Using ATI Tool btw.
 
I used Rivatuner with Omega drivers on my 9600 vanilla 256Mb card for a year or so and it worked great. I got about 100/50 MHz more out of it.
