I'm planning on playing HL2 quite a bit. Should I upgrade?

How well will my 9500pro play the game (for those of you who have played CS:S)?

I don't want to spend more than $300 Canadian with tax and shipping included.

I have a whole mess of ATI cards (9500 Pro, 9600 Pro, 9700 Pro and a 9800 Pro) the 9600 Pro really isn't so hot now with newer games but, in gameplay, at 1280x1024 w/o AA or AF the 9500 Pro, 9700 Pro and 9800 Pro perform identically. Trust me id recomend you wait a bit longer the 9500 Pro is a great card, BUT if you MUST upgrade get a 6800nu(12 pipes 5 vertex shaders) and maybe the X800 SE(8 pipes 6 vertex shaders)

can't u just mod ur 9500pro to a 9700pro? and thats a free upgrade for you :)

wait or maybe its the 9500np to 9700pro.. i am confused hehe

Only 9500np with "L shaped ram" to 9700pro.

I guess I'll wait until 6800GTs go down in price...

9500Pro is an awesome card. Not as fast as a 9700Pro or 9800Pro but fast enough to do so well in Doom 3 and HL2.
