9500Pro - Refresh rates seem lower then stated...?

Hey guys, this is my first ATI card and when i installed the 3.10 drivers and set the refresh rate at: 1024 x 768, 32bpp @ 85hz and I can defenitly see a diffrence compared to my GF2 Pro at the same Hz. What im looking at now i would compare to 65Hz on my GF2. Even if i bump it up to 100Hz it still is bad. Does anyone know if there is a way of fixing this as its really bothering me:( Also btw I have DX9 if that matters. Thanks
 
Your talking about in games correct? If so go to the displays property in the ATI control panel and set the DirectX overide to 85hz or whatever your monitor can run.
 
No games are fine just when im on my desktop and viewing webpages (its horrible when there is alot of white in the pages). Also I have a 19" Sony Trinitron moniter.
 
under display settings check the use doc box see if that fixes your problem

I think win xp has standard refresh rate of 65

w00t i looked in the disply settinf and found it was set to 60hz. i upped it to 85hz and i can now see again:) thanks!
