Suddenly, after a year of flawless operation, my system will not even POST. The Award BIOS beeps out an error code of one long, two short (Video Error). I try the same card in any other system, it boots fine. I try any other card, such as my Geforce Ti4200, in the problem system and it too boots fine. Suddenly, with no warning, the SINXP1394 (Gigabyte Mobo) and the 9500 are incompatible. I completely eliminate power issues (even though my PSU is a rock-solid PC Power & Cooling 425 watt monster) by: Trying a different power lead with no sharing of the cable, testing the power lead with a VOM and finally swapping in a completely different, known good power supply. During the power tests the 9500 (A Sapphire Atlantis, red PCB) is the only card in the system, no PCI cards. At the time of failure no IRQ sharing exists. I then further troubleshoot as follows: re-securing the motherboard and checking for shorts, reseating the AGP card several times, replacing the CMOS battery, then clearing and re-flashing the BIOS to the latest manufacturer release, dropping the AGP multipier from 8X to 4X, increasing the voltage to the AGP slot via the BIOS and even connecting the PC to another AC outlet. I really like this card and am not anxious to replace it. Help!

Hi, hal900x, welcome to the [H]!

You've given a lot of relevant info on your problem, which is good. :)

But it might help some of the gurus here in trying to diagnose the cause if they had some specs on your system (hardware/OS, etc.).
