Just installed this Arctic-Cooling Silencer. $22 (US) this thing is awsome, and easy as heck to install. Maybe [H] will do a review.

Blasted, and I still have to wait till Feb/March for them to roll out the XT compatible ones :(
 
my cpu fan is already loud enough to drown out all other sound from my case so i see no need to silence something i can't her anyways, oh and im not going to overclock with the new card.

Im looking to buy one of these. How did it affect the maximum overclock on your 9800Pro?
 
My 9800 Pro is horrible as far as overclocking (bad core, luck of the draw). I've gotten an additional 11MHz out of the core. I really just purchased it because of my displeasure with the stock cooler which IMO is way undersized.

does this cooler help alot?? or is it more of a safetly precaution?


what would work better??? this vga cooler or a giant 2?
 
does it actually run quieter? the 9800 fan is annoying me and i cant put my zalman on this card because it has factory ramsinks.
