I have a new build for someone in the office. 940D on an ASRock 775i65G board (rev 2... s'posed to support Conroe). Seems to be running well at 3.8Ghz at about 53C in a very warm server room on a very hot day here in Chicago, so I imagine when temps drop down to something normal it should do OK.

Since this box isn't for me, I don't want to stress it too much... but I can't help myself. Is 3.8 a nice bump for this on stock air, or can I go reliably higher?

That's kinda what I figured. This box seems to bench about the same as my Opty 170@2.5. Seems smooth so far...
