Will it work, will the hardcano 12 support the 12.5W vantec tornado 92mm fan?
I have just used the hardcano 12 on my case, and it works magnificently. All automatic. I thought the EL light would turn off, guess I was wrong. Hope it does not die easily.

Or I can use the rheostat with that fan?

I've got the Hardcano12 in my Lian-Li and I just wanted to start by saying kudos on the kickass fancontroller/thermal monitor to Thermaltake...they finally got SOMEthing right. :rolleyes: :p

I'm actually not having a very easy time finding ratings on the fan controller capabilities of the Hardcano12.....for how many W's it can handle per channel. I'd gather that it'd be alright though in terms of power....even some of the cheaper/more basic controllers can handle about 12W per channel.

I can't say for sure though, so I'd keep checkin' around if you're wary about riggin' it up.

Well I have known some sites to be a bit shady in the past.....but it is a quite forward statement....and I'd like to assume that someone'd at LEAST be safe doing a single 92mm 'Nado.
 
So no one knows what really is the spec of one channel on the hardcano?
12W and 12.5 will fry the harcano 12 :p
Tt has nothing on its website that I can use as reference.

I tried to connect the front lights of the tsunami onto the hardcano, to know if the fan controller can control lights, it comes with 4>3 pin converter.
But it did not work.
 
I believe the hardcano 12 is rated at 4w. I have one and it will not supply enough power for a medium speed delta that is rated at 4.20w. It actually spins like 600 rpm less than rated speed. I also had a 120mm delta ran off the hardcano and it produced about half the rated output. So, it will work, but wont the fan wont output its max cfm.
 
I dunno about that. I built a system using all four fan connectors and 3 were 120mm fans, and none had problems... :shrug:

I've also had some higher end fans rigged up to mine and got full torque out of them just fine.....I'm still gonna say that it should be alright....just from what I've seen using mine.

It could not be 4w. That's the hardcano 9, and I think H9 is more than that.
