The only difference between i925X and i915x (meaning i915P/G/GV) is that the former supports PAT (Performance Acceleration Technology) and ECC memory. Also, i925X only supports 800MHz FSB and DDR2 memory - it doesn't support DDR1 or 400/533MHz FSB speeds.
i915G/GV is the only chipset that supports onboard graphics (Intel Extreme Graphics 3) - i925X has NO onboard graphics.
i925X supports the new Pentium 4 processors with EM64T (64-bit) technology, I'm not sure about i915x (most probably tho). EM64T-enabled P4 chips are already out for OEMs but won't hit retail markets until 64-bit Windows XP is relased.
