Alright, I've been folding for 90 days now and I got a little present to commemorate the occasion. Onward to the top 100...

90 day present

You are a bad man... very bad man...

(eyes conroe... kentsfield... x3800 for my wife...)

sigh, choices..

PS, Grats on the new gear... Excellent choice!

Haha, thanks, my wife just inherited a X2 3800 today, I called it a birthday present...funny she didn't see it that way and went wild at the Coach Factory Outlet.

coach... now there's a nice way to spend money...

You know, if you could convince her to keep some of that leather for a bit it would actually last nicely. Possible hold more of its value than the silicon you and I are so fond of.

Coach != Couch... :confused:

We're referring to this lovely brand...she attempts to match my purchases of computer and car parts with shoes and bags. I'm still winning :D

Would you mind running 3DMark05 on that setup? That's exactly the PC I was looking at getting. Just wanted to know how well HL2 would run on it. (or run timerefresh in HL2 if you're installing the game ;) )

I know, people say that 3DMark05 isn't a real world test, but the numbers match on my lappy, I got 6439 3D Marks with the clock speeds at the standard settings, and got 120FPS in HL2, then when I overclocked it, I got 8443 marks and 155FPS. That's a really linear comparison.

I want the system for my degree program, but I can't bring myself to give up gaming. I gotta get my HL on yo.

I haven't been able to get 3DMark05 to run, I'm downloading 06 right now. 05 crashes at the beginning of the second test. My setup is a little strange because I'm running XP x64 and 8 gigs of FB-Dimms in a riser, so I'm not sure what's causing the incompatibility. Plus Dell shipped it with the old 80 series drivers, I'll be updating them to the 91s shortly. Graphics benchmarks in 01 and 03 have not been promising for gaming though...but you can always upgrade/downgrade to a consumer card which will probably get you better results gaming.

Dell did the same thing to me with this XPS lappy. I had to go get the current go 7900 drivers. Nature of the beast I guess.

Wow!

I wish all of us [H]ordies could fold nearly 300,000 points in 90 days!

You rock, dude!

Thanks man, as long as everyone contributes what they can, we'll keep the number one spot...and hopefully find cures for a few diseases as well.

You inspired me to get myself a present, as well.

Anyone have any experience with the Asus P5B Deluxe and an e6600? :D

That is sick. I have been folding for over two years and I don't have that many points. Congrats!!

Good choice, plus with ATI allowing crossfire on the 965 chipset, you'll be all set for dual video card folding once the client gets released. The top 6300 overclock in the DB is with the P5B.

I'm just waiting on buying a new computer until the following conditions are met:
--The GPU folding is out of beta
--ATi quiet down their hair-dryer fans on their GPUs
--Next generation of ATi GPUs comes out (goes with the second point)
--SWMBO says OK, and I save up enough money :)

But then....oh, watch out newegg...
