a 6 pin pci-e plug provides 75 watts to the card, but an 8 pin provides 150. strange thing is, those two extra pins are just grounds. i wanted two 8 pin pci-e connectors so i could use overdrive in CCC, but this psu only has one (6+2=8). so i got a molex plug, took out the red and yellow wires so only two grounds were left, and rigged that up to my second video card, in addition to the 6 pin plug. essentially, i made my own 8 pin connector. works great! overdrive enabled
