So I just got a ud5 today, everything went smooth until I went to boot it up. Everything turned on except my video and my keyboard and mouse just laid there dead. Any ideas?

Specs as follows:
UD5
1050T
4Gb OCZ gold 1066
GTX470
500GB caviar black
60GB corsair force
The thing i could not figure out was when I put my old mobo back in it did the exact same thing, no video. So im guessing when I took it all apart i killed something in the process.

I just turned it on again and in my old motherboard the 2nd light popped on and off signaling it might be the memory that is bad. Could that be whats not making my video appear?

do you get a bios screen or any beeps at all. Or do the fans spin up?

Tried clearing CMOS etc?

Sounds like the board is not even posting. Try with only one stick of ram, then try the other stick alone as well.

Every thing powers on, so I assume its alright. Any way I test the ram it dosent change the fact that I cannot get video. I'm going to get some tomorow and see if that changes anythin.

If both mobos have the same problem, it's either got to be the ram or something in your case is shorting out the motherboards

I will pick up some new ram from the store today and report back the results. Thanks for the help guys.

What voltage is that ram rated for? I've heard stories that this board likes higher voltage memory. It makes me worried, mine is coming tomorrow with a pair of G.SKILL Ripjaws. I hope it likes them.

I got some new corsair XMS3 from the store today. Hopefully this will alleviate my issue. I really dont want to have to RMA this board, then have to wait a couple weeks...

Determined it was the CPU. gigabyte tech support was awesome and we figured it out after about an hour of swapping between motherboards and ram. Unfortunately I only had 1 CPU and that was the weak link so ill RMA this one and hopefully get another back soon.

I mean whats the luck with that. I dont know anyone that has had a cpu failure. My x2 3600 lasted for ever and it was overclocked on the stock crappy heatsink. The tech guy said it would take about a week so we shall see. Thankyou everyone for the ideas on what could be wrong. Ill post back the results of the new CPU if they give me one.

Aside from the broked cpu, how are you liking the UD5?

I am considering it to upgrade my M3N-HT Deluxe/mempipe, as it seems my 5970 doesn't enjoy the older nvidia chipset too much.

I cant comment on the UD5 I havent been able to use it at all. I looked at the heatsinks though and they looked really solid.

Have fun! I managed to push my 1055T to 4.55Ghz on air using this board. I run 24/7 @ 4.1ghz.
The board rocks.

Care posting your settings? I've been out of the AMD overclocking scene for a while and I can't seem to get anywhere near 4ghz with my new 95w 1055T

Got everything up and working great. Now I just need to replace this horrible stock cooler.

Check the link to my review earlier in the thread. It has some screen shots of the bios settings used in the review.

More weird problems. On cold boot i get a ton of random bsods and what not. Now when I turn of my machine after the bsod and turn it on again, it works perfectly no issues. The bad thing is i never get the same BSOD. Something different every time.

Is this running stock or overclocked? What are your total system specs (power supply, vid card memory etc)?

890FXA UD5-1055T-Corsair XMS3 1066- XFX 650- Corsair force 60- 500gb WD black-GTX 470
All at stock clocks.

Make sure your memory voltage and timing is all set up to spec.
No way you should be blue screening at stock speed. Is this a fresh install?
