Such as Asrock's AGI, MSI's AGR.
I know that ATI 9550.9600 can't run in this kind of fake AGP slot.


I pulled this off of another forum when I was just serfin around, Fake? I don't understadn why they would call it fake. I don't really care about the card. Will somebody explain this please.

yeah both the subject and the content could use a little work... but it's all good!

The only "fake" AGP slots I know of are the ones in certain newer PCI-express boards like the ECS 915-P A (which totally blows, avoid it at all costs)
In order to lube up the transition from AGP graphics to PCI-e, certain mobo manufacturers include "fake" AGP slots on PCI express boards. They accommodate AGP cards, but run off the (regular) PCI bus and have significantly impaired performance. I've heard of some AGP cards having incompatibility with these slots, and apparently running an AGP card in an "AGP-express" slot (as ECS calls it) for too long can actually cause DAMAGE to the video card.
