ok, i have xp 32 bit, and i cannot find a good pair of drivers for my gtx, none of them seem to work, my scores on 3dbenchmark2001 are around 30000, a bit too low.

by the way, my e4300 isnt overclocked AT ALL, this could be holding it back, but i was thinking drivers may have been an issue too

also, when i start up windows, it spends an incredibly long period of time loading, with the blue bar undulating left to right for a good 10 minutes before it loads. Othertimes, i get bluescreens regarding Nv_vid4 or something of that nature.

suggestions?

Is this a fresh install of windows? It shouldn't take more than 10 seconds at that loading screen...

Sounds like you have some defective hardware or something.

Test your memory with memtest 86+ and go with a fresh windows install if you know how. If it's still slow you have something else going wrong.

Also.. NVIDIA is releasing a lot of drivers very rapidly now. I'd go with the official set which have all the support for new games coming out this season, instead of getting older tweaked drivers from other sites.

the bluescreen also states that my hardware was stuck in a "infinite loop"

its a relatively fresh install, maybe 6 weeks?

time to troubleshoot, if u want to be a champ re-install everything. Make sure all jumpers are right. Maybe even reinstall windws. You sure your running the right drivers. I dont think it's a e4300 issue and 8800GTX more like ur mobo and the GTX if anything
